Maintaining Health & Wellbeing in the New Year

It is a new year, but the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic remain present. Older adults and people of all ages are finding that it is difficult to maintain their mental and physical health. Here are some tips to stay active and well in 2021, even while following the necessary safety protocols.

Join engaging activities!

Social engagement is associated with improved health outcomes. Seabury offers over 65 monthly virtual activities!

Connect with friends.

Maintaining a larger social network can increase brain function. Call up a friend or set up a video chat with family!

Try an exercise class!

Exercise has many physical health benefits and can also reduce stress and anxiety. Virtual Yoga and Fitness Fusion classes are offered twice weekly. Register here.

Eat healthily.

Balance food groups and try new things. Experiment with different spices or alternate protein sources. Don't forget to drink water!
