Washington Ear Presentation at Springvale Terrace

In January, residents and guests at Springvale Terrace enjoyed an informative presentation from Bob Johnson, volunteer with Metropolitan Washington Ear, Inc. (MWE).

MWE's free service for the blind visually-impaired and physically disabled individuals, allows those individuals who sign up to listen to The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and more. Once signed up, you are given a free radio that is pre-tuned to MWE's station. They also offer telephone dial-in news and information service and audio description of live stage performances in nine theaters throughout the metro area.

MWE has serviced the metropolitan area for over 40 years and is credited with helping reduce isolation and depression, and empowers people to remain independent. Several of the Springvale residents signed up for their service!
